Emotions associated with being greedy :

1. A need to accumulate more than one needs or can use.
2. Jealousy of others who have more.
3. Fear of losing what one has acquired.
4. Selfishness and a lack of concern for others.
5. A strong desire for wealth or material possessions.
6. Discontentment with what one has and a constant desire for more.

Judas was controlled by greed. This offered the devil a foothold in Judas's heart. It is in this sense that the gospel writers indicate that Satan "entered" into Judas.

In Luke 12:15, we're told to watch out for all kinds of greed. A person's life isn't about how much they own, even if they have a lot. This Bible verse makes it clear—it's not smart to chase after things you can buy or hold.

Kindness, largeness, hospitality, open-handness, unselfishness, liberal in giving … free-hearted (self forgetfull)

1. The act of giving can bring us joy, peace, and a sense of purpose. It can also strengthen our relationships with others as we share our resources and time with those in need.
2. Is contagious…
3. And generosity impacts our health and well-being in so many positive ways. It boosts mood, self-esteem, and our immune system. It also reduces stress, anxiety, and blood pressure. The associated feel-good chemicals can help reduce aches and pains and help us sleep better, too.
4. Generous people do not wait for opportunities of generosity to come to them. They ask, “Is there anything I can do for you?” and they mean it.
5. The greatest gift we can give to another is the gift of ourselves

It’s not :

• Bad stewardship / stewardship to give more (fear of not having)

Goodness = His goodness is always with us (Psalm 23:6). Everything good comes from God (James 1:17). He fills our hungry souls with good things (Psalm 107:8-9). He is good, does good, and gives good gifts to his children (Psalm 119:68, Luke 11:13).
